We are thrilled to share an inspiring story about one of our own, Ashleigh Trotter, our esteemed Office Manager at Bramley Engineering. Ashleigh is embarking on a daring and heartfelt journey – a skydive to support Suicide Prevention UK. This courageous leap is not just a skydive; it’s a leap of faith and a powerful statement in memory of a loved one.
A Tribute to James
In 2023, Ashleigh’s family faced an unimaginable loss with the passing of James Pughwood, a young man of just 19 years. Described as a beautiful soul with a heart of gold, James’s absence has left an irreplaceable void. To honour his memory, Ashleigh has chosen to take this brave step, literally jumping for James, on what would have been his birthday, March 23rd, 2024.
Why Suicide Prevention UK?
Suicide Prevention UK is a beacon of hope, providing essential support to those at risk and working tirelessly to prevent the tragedy of suicide. By choosing this charity, Ashleigh aims to spread awareness and offer support to those who feel alone and unworthy. It’s a cause that resonates deeply with her and with many others who have been touched by similar experiences.
How Can You Help?
Ashleigh has set up a fundraising page on JustGiving, aptly named “Jumping for James.” She has already made remarkable progress, raising £440, surpassing her initial target of £300, thanks to the generosity of 21 supporters. But the journey doesn’t end here. We can help her soar even higher!
