What is a Mobile Gantry Crane?
A mobile gantry crane gets it’s name from it’s supporting structure called a “gantry” which is essentially the supporting structure that holds a cranes overhead beam in a elevated position. In a mobile gantry crane consists of a mobile gantry – that runs on wheels or – casters supporting the fixed overhead beam. A trolley and a hoist are attached to the overhead beam that can travel up and down the overhead beam to raise and lower loads.

Alternatives to a Mobile Gantry Crane
If your load can be rotated, or if you require your overhead beam to move then alternative crane composition may be preferable.
If you have a handful of lifting locations where a floor mount can be installed, one Davit Crane could be used at each mount location.
