Shackles

Bow and Dee Shackles are used in lifting operations as removable links.

They connect not only wire rope and chain but also other fittings.

There are a few different types of shackles available which cover a variety of applications.

Screw pin shackles used mainly for non-permanent applications.

Finish : Hot dipped galvanised

Material : Bow and pin high tensile steel, Grade 6

Safety bolt shackles are used for long-term or permanent applications. Also where the load may slide on the pin causing rotation of the pin.

Large bow shackle are used in lifting operations as removable links. For instance they connect wire rope, chain and other fittings.

Piling shackles are used in lifting operations where holes have a greater edge distance than normal

Finish: Self colour and also hot dipped galvanised

Material: Body and pin high tensile steel.

Chain or Dee shackles are mainly used on one-leg systems whereas anchor or bow shackles are mainly used on multi-leg systems.
